We offer expertise in disorders across the lifespan and an approach that is sensitive to each individual's life context. Our services include assessment, medication management, psychotherapy, couples' counseling, family therapy, group therapy, and neuropsychological and educational testing.

Drawing on the resources of Weill Cornell Medical College and our affiliated hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian, we treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, tic disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

We also provide specialized services with respect to women's issues and reproductive psychiatry.

What Our Patients Are Saying

Talking about Matthew Specht, Ph.D.

"I can not recommend Dr. Specht enough! He helped my son so much with his generalized anxiety disorder and OCD. Up until we found Dr. Specht he had gone to several counselors that had not helped very much. Dr. Specht’s treatment plan helped my son tremendously. He has minimal symptoms now. He definitely was very instrumental in changing my son’s life. We will always be grateful to him for all he did."

"Dr. Specht is a kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable therapist. His ability to understand adolescents and what best addresses their needs is remarkable. He goes out of his way for his patients and their families. He has a unique way of interacting with his patients that puts them at ease while at the same time effectively addressing their mental health issues. He has been a trusted advisor and coach for our family and made a significant positive impact on our son. We would highly recommend him."

"Dr. Hermann is compassionate, very competent, and a professional through and through. She recommended a less known course of treatment for a very rare condition, was incredibly knowledgeable and well-read on the literature, and I credit her willingness to listen, make a difference, and expertise to where I am today. I whole heartedly recommend her."
