Precision medicine (also called “personalized medicine” or “individualized medicine”) is a leading approach to breast cancer that aims to treat the condition as precisely as possible, avoiding overtreating or unnecessary cancer treatments. Our next generation sequencing (NGS) research platform takes a deeper dive into the human genome of each patient’s cancer to obtain RNA and DNA sequencing so that our care team can incorporate this information into the overall care plan, leveraging molecular information behind the cancer cell growth in order to try to stop it.
