Personalized, Expert Care Throughout New York

Commitment to equity: Our team is deeply aware of disparities in all areas of breast cancer care. We are committed to improving care for all and ending inequities throughout New York City — and beyond.

All patients deserve the very best in care. As our patient, we focus on your total health and well-being. We are dedicated to providing respectful, compassionate and expert breast cancer care to all patients, including our patients of color, LGBTQ+ patients and male patients.

Comfortable, convenient locations for your care: Our Breast Center physicians care for patients throughout New York City, including at locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Our primary location is the beautiful David H. Koch Center located at 1283 York Avenue, between East 68th and 69th Streets, on the fourth floor. This innovative facility offers individualized, integrated outpatient care. Weill Cornell Medicine partners with NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the top hospital systems in New York City and the U.S., nationally recognized for compassionate, exemplary care.

The David H. Koch Center aims to make the experience stress-free and convenient with:

  • Private waiting and recovery rooms in the surgical suite
  • Comfortable, beautiful and private rooms for your care
  • Cold caps (hats that cool the scalp during chemotherapy treatments to minimize hair loss)
  • Restaurant-quality food on-site
  • Access nurse navigators to coordinate multidisciplinary care

Innovative research: Above and beyond treating our patients, our physicians are also leading research to improve breast cancer management. As a scientifically based academic institution, we are at the forefront of the latest treatments and advances in care.

Our physicians and surgeons conduct research to strengthen knowledge regarding all aspects of breast cancer, including its causes. Led by Dr. Lisa Newman, the Breast Center is home to the International Center for the Study of Breast Cancer Subtypes (ICSBCS), which contributes to our understanding of breast cancer by studying the causes of race- and ethnicity-associated variations in the disease.

As a patient, you can choose to participate in one of our clinical trials to receive a new and promising advance in treatment. If your doctor believes that you may qualify for one of the studies being conducted at our Breast Center, they will discuss this option with you. By joining a clinical trial, you help advance medical knowledge of breast health and breast cancer treatment.
