An increasing number of surgical procedures are now done on an outpatient and inpatient basis, and Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medicine trains its physicians to be complete perioperative clinicians. Anesthesiologists are on hand to ensure that patients have a safe and comfortable experience with their surgery, and to diagnose and treat any problems that arise during surgery or recovery. Weill Cornell Medicine anesthesiologists also specialize in the treatment of acute and chronic pain at as part of our Pain Management Center, which provides extensive evaluation and an individualized pain management program to its patients.
