Broadway musical star Rory O’Malley and Weill Cornell Medicine pediatric experts address every parent’s concerns about child health and COVID-19
You won’t want to miss the next program in our series with Playbill, featuring Broadway sensation Rory O’Malley, who recently played King George in the smash hit "Hamilton." On Wednesday, April 21 at 6pm, Rory and his husband Gerold will interview and lead a roundtable discussion with WCM pediatric specialists Drs. Sherry Huang, Ben King, Karen Acker about pediatric care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program, “Pediatric Care,” will cover information that every parent needs to know, including: distinguishing whether your child has a cold, flu, or COVID-19; easing the pandemic’s social and psychological toll on children; and the debate over vaccination safety. Rory and Gerold will ask the doctors critical questions about the safety of sending children back to school, and letting them participate in summer activities, such as going to the beach, swimming in public pools, and playing on playgrounds or in team sports--issues that are of particular concern to parents working outside the home.
This free presentation is the third in the three-part Q&A series, Centerstage with Healthcare Heroes, which features Broadway stars interviewing WCM physicians about trending topics in health, wellness and COVID-19.
In addition to his role in "Hamilton", Rory has appeared in many other major Broadway hits, including "The Book of Mormon", "She Loves Me", and "8."
He and Gerold will cap their interviews with Drs. Huang, King, and Acker by leading a panel discussion of topics and questions from the audience. We hope that you will watch and participate in this livestream program, so bring your questions and ideas!
