Pediatric Tics and Tourette's Program

One of the most common yet overlooked and at times unrecognized movement disorders are "tics" in children. Our practice has a multidisciplinary approach to evaluation and management, using diet, behavioral therapy, habit reversal treatment, and vitamins prior to treatment, as well as standardized medicines.

We include neuropsychological evaluations as part of our treatment plan in order to target the cause of the tic.  A symptom may be a manifestation of an underlying disorder that is often masked or co-exists with the tics.

Pediatric Comprehensive Epilepsy Program

At our specialized, state-of-the-art practice, we pinpoint your child's seizures and what may be triggering them and work with you to tailor a plan of care that meets your child's needs. Our goal is to provide an immediate assessment, thorough evaluation, accurate diagnosis, and treatment. Through our multidisciplinary team, you will meet specialists dedicated to improving your child’s quality of life and navigating the challenges that are associated with a diagnosis of seizures and/or living with epilepsy.

Pediatric Concussion Program

The Weill Cornell Medicine Pediatric Concussion Program brings a rational, science-based approach to the assessment and management of concussion. Our team consists of specially trained pediatric neurologists, neuropsychologists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and vestibular and physical therapists who provide integrated state-of-the-art care for patients and their families following traumatic brain injury.

Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Program

Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis cause chronic inflammation of the lining of the intestines. We take a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with IBD.  Our goal is to help young patients with IBD keep their disease in check, so they can continue to live full lives throughout childhood, adolescence, and beyond. We tailor the care we provide to your child, and offer support to your entire family.

Pediatric Food Allergy Program

Food allergies or food intolerance can range from mild to severe, and determining the cause can often be challenging.  Our pediatric gastroenterologists specializing in food allergies and intolerances work with a multidisciplinary team of experts who help diagnose young patients and customize a treatment plan for each child.

Pediatric Aerodigestive Program

The Pediatric Aerodigestive Program at Weill Cornell Medicine houses a state-of-the-art clinic committed to providing care for children with complex medical problems involving the airway, lung and upper gastrointestinal tract.

Medical problems related to the aerodigestive tract are often complex and challenging to diagnose and treat. Our program brings together a multidisciplinary team in a single location to care for your child. Our team includes:

Pediatric Motility Program

If your child has problems with motility — the coordinated contraction and movement of the digestive tract — we know how much these problems can interfere with your child's and your family's quality of life. Children can develop motility disorders that range from relatively benign conditions such as constipation to more serious disorders such as Hirschsprung's disease.

Pediatric Obesity Program

The Weill Cornell Medicine Pediatric Obesity Program uses various approaches to address the growing problem of obesity and its metabolic complications, including insulin resistance, elevated blood pressure, dyslipidemia, fatty liver, and the progression of insulin resistance to type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Our efforts range from prevention and education to understanding the causes of obesity, studying medication effects on weight gain and metabolic changes, and providing treatment options to our patients.

Pediatric Diabetes Program

The Weill Cornell Medicine Pediatric Diabetes Program provides comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and support for children with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and their families.

Because most children with newly diagnosed diabetes initially require hospitalization, our team will often first meet families and perform the majority of initial education for diabetes management in the hospital setting. For new visits to our outpatient offices, we schedule appointments whenever possible so that families can meet with our entire team of physicians, nurse practitioners and nutritionists.
