8 Weill Cornell Medicine Neurosurgeons Among Top Doctors in New York 2016

The Weill Cornell Medicine Brain & Spine Center is once again proud to have eight members of our team included in New York magazine’s annual listing of the “Best Doctors of New York.”
This prestigious roster includes:
- Dr. Philip Stieg, the chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery and Neurosurgeon-in-Chief. He is also on the Castle Connolly list of America's Top Doctors 2016 and America's Top Doctors for Cancer 2016, and is featured in the Top Doctors New York Metro Area 2016 guide.
- Dr. Y. Pierre Gobin, the Director of Interventional Neuroradiology. He is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in New York in Neuroradiology, and is also featured in the Top Doctors New York Metro Area 2016 guide.
- Dr. Roger Hartl, the chief of spinal surgery and neurotrauma. He is also featured in America's Top Doctors 2016 and Top Doctors New York Metro Area 2016 guide.
- Dr. Theodore Schwartz, a specialist in endoscopic skull base and minimally invasive epilepsy surgery. He is also featured in America's Top Doctors 2016 and America's Top Doctors for Cancer 2016, and included in the Top Doctors New York Metro Area 2016 guide.
- Dr. Mark Souweidane, the vice chair of the department and the director of pediatric neurosurgery. He is also featured in America's Top Doctors 2016 and America's Top Doctors for Cancer 2016, and is included in the Top Doctors New York Metro Area 2016 guide.
Drs. Mark Bilsky, Philip Gutin, and Viviane Tabar, neurosurgeons at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center who are affiliated members of our faculty, were also featured on this year’s list.
Overall, more than 100 physicians from Weill Cornell Medicine were featured in New York magazine’s “Best Doctors” list. The issue includes 1,300 of the tri-state area’s top primary doctors and specialists, who were all part featured in the larger list of "Top Doctors: New York Metro Area" published by Castle Connolly in April.
