WCM Physician Offers Tips to Help New Yorkers Beat Stress

When Anita Rao, an editor at VICE, began experiencing anxiety, she turned to health and wellness experts for help.

Weill Cornell Medicine's Dr. Chiti Parikh — the co-founder and co-director of the Integrative Health and Wellbeing Program at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center — was one of the experts Rao consulted for her piece, "I Turned the Stress of Living In New York Into a Science Experiment."

In her article, Rao described how Dr. Parkih and the Integrative Health and Wellbeing Program helped her understand and deal with the stress she experienced. The program promotes physical, psychological and social well-being and offers services like acupuncture, mind-body instruction and nutritional counseling.
