On Wednesday, September 11, from 7:00-8:00 p.m., Weill Cornell Medicine will host the first in a series of “SAFE Conversations”—a monthly discussion series focusing on substance use disorders. SAFE stands for Support, Advocacy and Family Education. The acronym also suggests that families and individuals facing substance use issues can feel safe during this first conversation and every month thereafter.

Dr. Daniel Knoepflmacher, Vice Chair for Education and Director of the General Psychiatry Residency at Weill Cornell Medicine, will moderate the discussion.
In our first conversation, we will discuss family impact, hope for recovery and what loved ones should know about substance use disorder.
