Personal Statement

I am a fellowship-trained pain medicine physician who takes a multidisciplinary team-based approach to addressing the physical, mental, and emotional components of pain. These team-building skills facilitate a collaborative environment to provide holistic, patient-centered care in the pain clinic. My academic pain interests include spinal cord stimulation and peripheral nerve stimulation, as well as ultrasound-based interventional techniques. In addition to his commitment to clinical medicine, I have published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts.

Biographical Info

Dr. Philip Petrou is a double-board certified physician in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry with honors from Harvard College and attended medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Petrou completed his residency in anesthesiology at Stanford University, where he also was a fellow in pain medicine.
