Pediatric rehabilitation medicine is the medical specialty focusing on restoring and improving functional movement and abilities in patients from birth to early adulthood. At Weill Cornell Medicine, we are passionate about meeting the needs of each child as they grow and develop — and helping them achieve their full potential.

We understand the importance of physical activity to all children’s physical, cognitive and psychosocial well-being. We provide a customized, team-based treatment approach to meet each child where they are at developmentally.

Why Choose Weill Cornell Medicine for Pediatric or Adolescent Rehabilitation Medicine?

Compassionate, individualized care for children: Our expert and compassionate team of rehabilitation specialists work side by side with patients and their families to help achieve outcomes that will improve mobility, recreational play, social engagement and quality of life.

After a careful physician evaluation and discussion with caregivers, we prioritize the desires and goals of the family and patient to provide the best treatment plan.

Focus on empowering our patients, parents, caregivers and families: We are passionate about educating our patients, their caregivers and families. We empower you with information, exercises and other tools to help manage and improve overall health, as well as make confident decisions about care.

Multidisciplinary care from leading experts: Weill Cornell Medicine partners with NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the top hospital systems in New York City and the U.S.

When you choose Weill Cornell Medicine, you have access to a network of doctors and specialists. Our pediatric rehabilitation medicine specialists are experts who work closely with other medical subspecialists, physical, occupational and speech therapists, orthotists, psychologists and social workers to ensure each child receives the comprehensive care they deserve.
