Endocrine and Minimally Invasive Surgery is a special field of surgery that focuses on the management of problems (principally benign and malignant tumors) of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands, as well as endocrine tumors of the pancreas and gastrointestinal tract. The goals of the Section of Endocrine and Minimally Invasive Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center are to provide excellent patient care and advance knowledge of diseases of these glands through research and education.
The clinical focus of the Section of Endocrine and Minimally Invasive Surgery is to employ Minimally Invasive Techniques to provide superb care. To this end, thyroid and parathyroid surgery is performed under local or regional anesthesia using small incisions. Adrenal tumors are approached via laparoscopic or robotic techniques whenever possible.
We emphasize strong collaboration within our teams to bring a unique multidisciplinary care that is patient centric and novel. This enables us to work together to conduct collaborative research needed to develop and improve our expertise. Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of thought leaders and practicing researchers dedicated to the studies of tumor biology, who continue to be well published and highly respected within the community.

Weill Cornell Endocrine and Minimally Invasive Surgery
Always a pleasure to see Dr. Fahey whose skills literally saved my life many years ago. The check-in was great and the staff, as always, were paragons of professionalism.
My consultation with Dr Fahey went extremely well. His staff was friendly, professional, patient and very knowledgeable. Dr Fahey explained my condition and procedure with clarity and I felt very comfortable with him and look forward to being under his care.
