Complementary Care to Support Your Well-Being

As our patient at the Breast Center, you will have access to specific services and workshops designed to support you throughout your specific experiences, including lifestyle changes, breast cancer preventive treatments, breast cancer therapies, survivorship or supporting a loved one.

We know that holistic treatments can improve your outlook and experiences, improve your mental and emotional well-being, and promote faster healing and recovery.

Beyond providing the most advanced clinical care for our Breast Center patients, we also offer:

  • Cold cap therapy to minimize hair loss from chemotherapy
  • Nutrition expertise to help you feel your best during and after treatment
  • Mental health support and expertise for breast cancer patients
  • Patient navigation and education services to help empower patients with all the information about their diagnosis and care plan
  • Integrative Health and Well-Being Program, which provides a personalized and evidence-based approach to improving your physical, mental and spiritual well-being, including lifestyle changes, acupuncture, massage therapy, yoga instruction, mindfulness and meditation instruction.
  • Fertility preservation through the leading Weill Cornell Medicine Center for Reproductive Medicine

Specialized Offerings at the Weill Cornell Medicine Breast Center

Beyond providing the highest level of clinical care to our patients, the Weill Cornell Medicine Breast Center is also proud to offer specialized care for our patients under age 45 and survivors.

The Young Women's Breast Cancer Program: Our Breast Center team includes experts in caring for breast cancer patients who are 45 years old or younger to achieve the best possible health and well-being.

Breast Center Survivorship Program: Our team specializes in supporting breast cancer survivors with clinical care, integrative medicine and community-focused events.

Support Groups: Monthly virtual support groups to connect patients with others, alongside a social worker who helps facilitate coping and community.

Weill Cornell Medicine Breast Center Services and Workshops

All Breast Center patients have access to services and workshops designed to improve your health:

  • Reiki: This hands-on, spiritual healing practice reduces pain and lessens anxiety.
  • Gentle therapeutic yoga: This style of yoga incorporates relaxing poses that are completely adaptive to any gender, level of fitness or age.
  • Breathing exercises: Learn a series of breathwork practices that can dramatically shift your mood within 60 seconds.
  • Meditation: Practice the art of being still and in a state of relaxed, but heightened awareness.
  • Prepare for surgery: This workshop will address your concerns while you prepare for surgery, radiation or chemotherapy. The five-step process includes the use of visualization to turn worries into positive healing energy, organizing a support group of family and friends, as well as using healing statements during surgery.
