WCM Surgeon Led First-Ever Symposium on Mitral Valve Repair

On Friday March 31st Dr. T Sloane Guy, Director of Weill Cornell Medicine's Robotic Cardiac Surgery was one of the two co-directors for the Society for Thoracic Surgeons first ever symposium on Robotic Mitral Valve Repair.
The course covered new technology which is making it easier for cardiothoracic surgeons to perform minimally invasive cardiac surgery. The method means minimal trauma, less blood loss and less overall discomfort for the patient.
