About Yvonne Chak, MD
Dr. Chak is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who provides care in all aspects of women’s health including general obstetrics, well woman care, management of abnormal pap smears, abnormal uterine bleeding, sexually transmitted infections, family planning, and gynecologic surgery. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from Binghamton University. Her medical degree and residency training were completed at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. After completing residency, Dr. Chak practiced overseas for a period of time providing care to women in New Zealand and assisting in the clinical education of medical students and OB/GYN registrars with SEED Global Health/Peace Corps in East Africa. She then returned to the United States and worked in a private practice serving the diverse population of Brooklyn prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.
