About Steffanie Wright, M.D., MPH, MS
I am an OBGYN Complex Family Planning subspecialist with a passion for empowering patients to be advocates for their health, and I am excited to bring my experience and expertise to Weill Cornell Medicine. My inspiration for pursuing the field of medicine stems from my commitment to improving the care of underserved communities. As the daughter of two hard-working, immigrant parents from Mexico I was a witness to the disparities in access to care that exist within our complex medical system—especially for patients from marginalized communities. I became an OBGYN to work towards addressing the healthcare disparities our patients face, and I look forward to bringing my diverse experiences in public health, international development, and policy to provide my patients an excellent healthcare experience.
