Pilates has been used for years to help strengthen core muscles, which include the abdomen and back.
Pilates uses specific movements to attain better control of your body as well as a heightened awareness of your own individual movement patterns. This newfound awareness can improve your flexibility, strength, and balance. Pilates is done with precision and purposeful slow movements. Exercises can be modified if you are new to Pilates or are recovering from surgery.
