About Jeny Rachel Samuel, D.N.P.
I am a family nurse practitioner specializing in pain management. Through my experience working in Weill Cornell Medicine's pain management outpatient clinic, I see many patients experiencing both acute and chronic pain. This further instills in me the need for an individualized treatment plan for each patient. My clinical interests include pediatrics, geriatrics, critical care, and surgical patients. Outside of work, I enjoy painting, hiking and traveling. The joys and challenges of bettering patients’ overall well-being through pain management propels my drive to strive for excellence in education and patient care.
Jeny Samuel earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chamberlain University specializing in health leadership with a concentration in health policy change. Prior to the DNP program, Jeny received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New Jersey City University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Pace University. Jeny also holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, with a minor in anthropology from William Paterson University, NJ.
Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine and while following her academic pursuits, Jeny worked in the operating room at a trauma hospital in New Jersey for three years. She also gained invaluable experience working closely with patients in the pediatric ICU at the Children's Hospital Montefiore for two years and in transplant surgery at Montefiore Medical Center for six years.
