About Monica Altman, M.D.
My goal is for every patient who walks through our doors to receive the high standard of care that Weill Cornell Medicine is known for, in a personalized and attentive way. I take the time to address all aspects of your health. Whether you’re here for an annual check-up, preventive care, or managing an acute or chronic condition, I am committed to providing well-grounded care.
Navigating our complex medical system can be challenging, but as your primary care doctor, I’m here to make that easier. I have a particular interest in weight management, cardiovascular health, and the prevention and early detection of cancer in high-risk patients. My focus is on what works—helping patients lead healthier, more fulfilling lives through preventive care, education, and treatment.
Outside of my practice, I maintain a balanced lifestyle. I enjoy spending time with my husband and teenage children, my friends, getting involved in volunteer activities, traveling, doing Pilates, reading, walking my dog, and most recently playing pickleball. I appreciate the important role health plays in living life fully, and it would be an honor to partner with you to help you stay healthy.
