Personal Statement

 

After attending Stanford University for his undergraduate studies, Dr. Kjaer obtained his MD from the University of California, San Francisco.  He completed his anesthesia residency and obstetric anesthesia fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.  He has served as Co-Director of Obstetric Anesthesia at Weill Cornell since 2004 and is a member of the Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology.     Dr. Kjaer also has an interest in anesthesia services outside the operating room and has held a number of administrative positions at New York Presbyterian Hospital.  He obtained his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2010.  As of 2013, he is the Program Director of Weill Cornell's newly ACGME accredited fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesiology.  He also serves as an examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology.
