Dr. Leeman-Neill received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and American Studies from Brandeis University in 2002. She subsequently entered the MD-PhD program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, receiving her PhD in 2008, and her MD in 2010. She did post-doctoral training as a resident in anatomic pathology and as a hematopathology fellow at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Beginning in 2016, she had been an assistant professor at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York and as a attending physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and joined Weill Cornell Medicine as an Associate Professor (Pending Appointment at Rank) in the Hematopathology Division in 2024. She is board certified in anatomic pathology as well as hematopathology. Dr. Leeman-Neill has had a long-standing scientific interest in the molecular basis of carcinogenesis and lymphomagenesis.
