Personal Statement

Nabil Kotbi, MD is the Unit Chief of The Haven at New York Presbyterian Westchester Division and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine.  In addition to his academic and hospital clinical responsibilities, he maintains an active faculty practice.  Dr. Kotbi treats a range of conditions with an individualized and integrated approach athe incorporates psychotherapy and/or psychopharmacology as needed.

Nabil Kotbi, MD received his doctorate from the University Hassan II of Casablanca, Morocco in 1996. Upon completion he served as the Chief Resident at SUNY Downstate Medical Center where he distinguished himself in clinical, administrative and research areas and received several awards.  Upon graduation, he had a Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at the Weill Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry.  He worked as the Unit Chief in Geriatric Psychiatry at North Central Bronx and continues to serve on the faculty at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and SUNY Downstate.
Dr Kotbi is ABPN board-certified in Psychiatry, Psychosomatic Medicine, and Geriatric Psychiatry.  He is fluent in French and Arabic.
