Dr. Samuel subsequently joined the leukemia program at Weill Cornell Medical College as a clinical trials research assistant while completing post-baccalaureate studies at Columbia University. Thereafter, Dr. Samuel completed both his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center. His medical training also included experiences studying acupuncture in Beijing, China, and service as a physician on the medical ward at Kisoro District Hospital in Uganda.

Dr. Samuel now rejoins the Leukemia Program in the division of Hematology/Oncology at Weill Cornell Medical College where he will specialize in the treatment of patients with leukemia, myelodysplasia and myeloproliferative neoplasms, and will be actively involved in the clinical trials research within the program.
