Personal Statement

I have been working with Dr. Kaplitt for more than two decades; I deeply appreciate the long-term relationships I have built with our patients as well as the opportunity to continue to learn and grow within the practice. I am extremely gratified to be a part of the meaningful improvement in patients' overall level of function and quality of life after surgery.

Biographical Info

Kristin Strybing, Chief Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Neurological Surgery, is a certified family nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in neurosurgery. Kristin received her training at the Columbia University School of Nursing and additionally holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Kristin has been a part of Dr. Kaplitt’s practice since he began at Weill Cornell as an attending in 2001.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Kristin worked as an RN for two years and worked as a bilingual health educator for migrant farmworkers. She has a specialty focus in movement disorders and device-related neurosurgery such as spinal cord stimulators, deep brain stimulation, and ventriculoperitoneal shunts.
