Biographical Info

Dr. Sampath is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical Center and an Attending Physician at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is an advanced fellowship trained interventional gastroenterologist.

Dr. Sampath is originally from the New England area. He graduated from Carleton College and received his medical degree from RUSH Medical College. He completed his internal medicine residency, gastroenterology fellowship and therapeutic endoscopy fellowship at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. His clinical and research interests relate to the fields of pancreatology, therapeutic endoscopy, surgical endoscopy, bariatric endoscopy and obesity medicine. He seeks to work within the context of a multi-disciplinary setting to provide safe and effective clinical care to all his patients.
