Personal Statement

I am an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Psychiatrist in the Inpatient Unit at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. I specialize in Adult Psychiatry and provide comprehensive mental health evaluations and consultations as both a psychotherapist and a psychopharmacologist. I embrace an integrative approach to mental health and welcome all patients for consultations, psychotherapy, diagnostic evaluations, and medication management.

Biographical Info

Dr. Dumas is a psychiatrist with expertise in treating patients with a broad range of psychiatric diagnoses and life challenges. She has advanced training in women’s mental health, specializing in treating women during pregnancy and the postpartum periods. She provides medication management as well as psychotherapy to collaborate with patients to create a treatment approach that addresses the biological, psychological and social aspects of the patient's life. In addition, Dr. Dumas teaches and supervises medical students and residents. Dr. Dumas completed her general psychiatry residency at New York-Presbyterian/Weill-Cornell Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Dumas received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and her medical degree from the University of Louisville, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
