About Deep Bhatt, M.D.
I have always been drawn to primary care because of the long-term relationships I get to build with my patients. I firmly believe in the adage that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and so my approach to health is proactive rather than reactive. I tailor my care to the individual, drawing on diet, exercise, lab testing, and medication to achieve optimal results. My background in both economics and medicine helps me weigh trade-offs and find the right approach for each patient.
I deeply value my role as the quarterback of my patients' healthcare team, advocating for them as they navigate a complex system. I value my concierge practice because it gives me the bandwidth to practice medicine the way I think it should be practiced: more time, deeper relationships, and a truly personalized approach for each patient.
Specific areas of interest include obesity medicine, men's health, and cardiovascular disease prevention. I take special pride in caring for entire families.
Born and raised in California, my journey has taken me from Los Angeles to the Bay Area for college at Berkeley, to the University of Iowa for medical school, to NYC for residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, and now my long-term practice with Weill Cornell Medicine.
Outside of the office, I am an avid Knicks fan, and my greatest joy in life is my son Dev.
Dr. Bhatt is a board-certified internist at Weill Cornell Medicine specializing in longevity medicine, cardiovascular risk reduction, men's health, and obesity medicine. He takes a proactive, data-driven approach to health, focused on extending not just lifespan but healthspan.
Trained at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell and the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Dr. Bhatt brings an analytical foundation, rooted in his economics training at UC Berkeley, to evidence-based, personalized medicine. He believes the best healthcare is anticipatory, not reactive.
Dr. Bhatt's practice is built around longitudinal relationships, serving patients and their families over a lifetime, not just episodic visits. He takes particular pride in coordinating complex care across specialists, ensuring his patients have a trusted advocate navigating every aspect of their health. He is also comfortable and experienced in HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis, offering patients a knowledgeable resource across the full spectrum of primary care needs.
