Personal Statement

I am an adult gerontological primary care nurse practitioner specializing in pain management. Working with patients who experience pain has taught me the importance of establishing a strong patient-provider relationship and providing a multimodal pain treatment plan for each patient. As a holistic certified nurse, I strive to recognize and care for the whole patient. I take an integrative approach in my nursing practice, and advocate for the wellbeing of my patients and fellow healthcare workers. As an advanced practice nurse, I believe it is essential to be a lifelong learner through continuing education, attending conferences, and collaborating with multiple disciplines in the healthcare field. I am currently pursuing my DNP at Hunter College with a focus on chronic pain management, and I am eager to provide high quality care for every patient. Outside of work I enjoy traveling, baking, and spending time outdoors.
