Dr. Amrita Krishnamurthy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital. She practices general cardiology with a particular interest in prevention, women’s heart disease, and heart disease in South Asians. In addition to caring for patients, she performs and interprets transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms. She serves as an attending physician on the consultative cardiology service, inpatient telemetry stepdown unit, and cardiac intensive care unit. Her goal is to provide high quality, compassionate, patient-centered care.

Biography
Dr. Amrita Krishnamurthy received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. For her medical training, she attended the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Stanford University before coming to New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center for her cardiovascular disease fellowship.
