About Vaishali Krishnamoorthy, MD
I chose oncology because I have always seen it as a specialty of hope - a field where groundbreaking research and innovative therapies are continually redefining what a cancer diagnosis means. Beyond advanced treatments, oncology places equal importance on preserving quality of life, dignity, and the human connections that matter most.
Having witnessed the profound impact a cancer diagnosis can have on patients and their loved ones, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and truly personalized care. My approach always centers on building trust, maintaining open and honest communication, and crafting treatment plans that honor each patient’s unique needs, values, and goals.
I am continually inspired by the remarkable progress in oncology, yet I remain acutely aware that much work lies ahead to improve outcomes and access for all patients. I feel privileged to join NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine, where I can make a meaningful impact by delivering exceptional, patient-centered care while actively contributing to the advancement of the field through clinical research, teaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
