Dr. Szilvia Nagy is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Director of Labor and Delivery at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.
Dr. Nagy is focused mainly on supporting women through their pregnancies and postpartum period, while also caring for their gynecologic needs. As a respected obstetrician, Dr. Nagy approaches caring for patients with a compassionate and warm bedside manner and keeps an open line of communication. She explains conditions and treatments thoroughly and answers questions so that patients feel well informed with evidence-based knowledge.
Dr. Nagy graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in French from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Nagy then completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at New York Downtown Hospital. After residency, Dr. Nagy was in private practice in San Antonio, Texas, then joined the faculty practice at New York Downtown Hospital before joining the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in 2013.
