I am dedicated to providing the highest quality care to you or your loved one if you are hospitalized with a kidney problem. Kidney disease is common and often challenging to navigate, especially when managing multiple medical conditions. I strive to understand what matters most to you and personalize your kidney treatment to your needs. I also research new models of healthcare delivery to ensure that everyone receives comprehensive care based on the latest medical research. 

Biographical Info

Sri Lekha Tummalapalli, MD, MBA, MAS is a nephrologist and health services researcher at Weill Cornell Medicine. Her research examines value-based payment and healthcare delivery strategies to achieve high quality care for patients with chronic diseases, with a focus on kidney disease. Dr. Tummalapalli graduated from Harvard College with a BA in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Economics, followed by an MD/MBA at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School. She completed internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital and nephrology fellowship at University of California, San Francisco, where she obtained a Masters in Clinical Research. Dr. Tummalapalli practices inpatient nephrology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center where she teaches medical students, residents, and fellows.
