About Sean Massiah, CASAC
I have served as a Case Manager at Weill Cornell Medical College’s Midtown Center for Treatment and Research in New York City since 2003, where I provide comprehensive case management and counseling for individuals struggling with substance use disorders and related behavioral, emotional, and social challenges. Through individual and group sessions, I help clients develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen support systems, and work toward sustained recovery and long-term stability.
Collaboration is central to my work. I regularly partner with courts, parole and probation officers, social workers, and clinical supervisors, as well as city and state agencies such as the New York City Department of Human Resources, Department of Social Services, and the Back to Work Program. These partnerships ensure that clients receive coordinated, holistic care that addresses both their clinical and practical needs.
I’m proud to have developed The Significant Other Treatment Module, a program designed to support individuals affected by a loved one’s substance use, and the Parenting Module, which helps unemployed, non-custodial parents find meaningful employment and rebuild family stability. These initiatives were created in collaboration with America Works and several New York City agencies to improve outcomes for vulnerable families.
