About Sarah Schmitz, M.D.
Dr. Schmitz is an obesity medicine specialist who helps patients achieve their weight loss goals and improve their overall health. With a deep understanding of the latest research and treatment options in the field, Dr. Schmitz works closely with each patient to create a comprehensive, evidence-based weight management plan. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Schmitz is also committed to advancing the field of obesity medicine through research. She also has a special interest in plant-based nutrition.
Dr. Schmitz graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Nutritional Sciences and earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Schmitz completed Internal Medicine Residency at Temple University and an Obesity Medicine Fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College.
