About Ramon Gist, MD
As a native of East Flatbush, Brooklyn, my commitment to serving marginalized communities is deeply rooted in the neighborhood that raised me. My career in pediatric critical care has always been guided by a strong sense of purpose—to advance health equity, elevate community voices, and ensure that those most impacted by structural inequities are not left behind. Whether serving local communities through mentorship and violence prevention work or engaging in national and global disaster preparedness efforts, I remain dedicated to service, mentorship, and advocacy., I strive to foster healing, resilience, and systemic change for vulnerable populations both locally and around the world.
Dr. Ramon E. Gist is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine as well as an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at New York-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky at Weill Cornell Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
