Personal Statement
I am an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital. In addition to seeing patients in the office at Lower Manhattan Hospital, I serve as an attending physician on the inpatient services (intensive care unit and cardiology floor units) at New York Presbyterian Hospital, read and perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests, and vascular imaging studies. I practice general cardiology with a focus on coronary artery disease, prevention, and vascular medicine, as well as take care of patients who have undergone interventional procedures. I work closely with other physicians in the Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell using a collaborative approach, to provide compassionate individualized patient care.

Biography
Dr. Subramanyam was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. After graduating in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology at Yale University, she attended New York University School of Medicine. She then completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where she graduated with a degree in Medical Education. After residency, she completed her fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center.
She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Echocardiography, and National Lipid Association. She has published in the International Journal of Cardiology, the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, as well as presented at several national cardiology conferences.
