Personal Statement

My approach to patient care takes into consideration the whole patient, using the latest in evidence-based medicine, with a patient-centered, empathetic approach to care. As a trauma surgeon, I am interested in the social factors of health involved in interpersonal violence, and my research involves a public health approach to violence prevention.
