About Lakshmi Nambiar, M.D.
Dr. Lakshmi Nambiar is a cardiologist and Assistant Professor in the Cardiology Division of the Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of Vermont. She joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine after completing her fellowship in advanced cardiac imaging with a focus on cardiac MRI and echocardiography at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Nambiar is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac MRI and Echocardiography. She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Her clinical interests include the application of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and echocardiography to women’s cardiac health. She is first author on multiple peer-reviewed publications including in JACC and JASE. Her research has been recognized with national media releases including in Medscape, MedPage Today, and TCTMD. She is committed to excellence in patient-centered care and education.
