About Malini Kumar, D.O.
I enjoy working with a variety of ages, from birth until young adulthood, and use a family centered approach to provide the best care for each child. I have a passion for patient education, particularly during transitions of care -- from guiding new parents in caring for a newborn and encouraging healthy habits in childhood to empowering young adults to take ownership of their health.
Dr. Kumar is a board-certified pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She completed her B.A. at Northwestern University, followed by medical training at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Subsequently, she completed her pediatric residency and served as a chief resident at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. As a chief resident, she worked as a hospitalist and an outpatient attending, focusing both on patient care and resident education.
Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medical College, Dr. Kumar worked in a community based private practice in Buffalo, NY.
