About Karen A. Pekle, M.S., A.N.P.
I am a nurse practitioner and specialize in oncology. I am dedicated to treating people with multiple myeloma, as well as patients who are undergoing stem cell transplantation. At Weill Cornell Medicine, I am privileged to collaborate with an excellent team of specialists --doctors, mid-level practitioners, nurses and researchers—dedicated to finding new treatment options and ultimately a cure for this disease.
It is my priority to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to all our patients. I also believe that as clinicians, our role extends beyond only treating the medical aspects of multiple myeloma. We must also address the emotional issues our patients face as they cope with their cancer diagnosis. Additionally, a diagnosis of multiple myeloma can impact more than just the patient, so I feel that it is also important to support the needs of family members and caregivers.
