Personal Statement

As an endocrinologist, I care for patients across the full spectrum of hormonal and metabolic conditions. My approach to patient care emphasizes patient education as a powerful tool in optimizing health. I have a special interest in metabolism, including obesity, diabetes, and osteoporosis. My research seeks to understand why some patients on weight management medications, such as GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonists, respond less robustly than expected. The goal of this work is to introduce personalized medicine into the management of metabolic diseases.
