About Claire Eden, M.D.
As a breast surgical oncologist, I am committed to guiding each patient through diagnosis, treatment and recovery with clarity and compassion. I believe the best care is delivered through creating an individualized treatment plan, reflecting not only on a patient’s diagnosis, but also their goals, concerns and life outside of the clinic. I work closely with the multiple specialists who are instrumental in the management of breast cancer and am passionate about coordinating care so a patient can focus on their treatment and recovery. My goal is for every patient to feel informed, supported and confident from the first visit forward.
Dr. Claire Eden is a breast surgical oncologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for patients with benign and malignant breast disease. She is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and she sees patients at the Breast Center at Weill Cornell Medicine as well as the NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Medical Group Breast Center.
Dr. Eden evaluates and treats women and men with breast cancer, high-risk breast conditions and other breast health concerns.She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her General Surgery Residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and her advanced fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Eden is a Board-Certified General Surgeon.
Dr. Eden has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented nationally on breast cancer research and outcomes. Her academic work has been recognized through several honors including the Kroll Family Endowed Fellowship for Breast Cancer Research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Surgery Teaching All-Star Award which she received as a Chief Surgical Resident.
