About Rachel Jensen, M.D.
It is a privilege to provide patient-centered, evidence-based reproductive health care to patients of all walks of life and to be an educator and mentor to medical students, residents, and fellows. I believe strongly in the responsibility of physicians to use our voices in service of those with less privilege, through advocating for improved access to equitable, justice-informed reproductive health care.
Dr. Rachel Jensen is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist and is board eligible in Complex Family Planning. She received her undergraduate and medical school degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago. She then completed Ob/Gyn residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore and fellowship in Complex Family Planning at the University of North Carolina. Following fellowship, Dr. Jensen served as the Darney-Landy fellow at the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG), providing clinical expertise in family planning program and policy development. She continues to be involved with ACOG as a workshop facilitator and leader on the RESPOND project which aims to expand abortion care access in restricted states.
Dr. Jensen is a passionate educator and vocal advocate for expanding access to evidence-based, justice-informed reproductive health care. Her clinical and research interests focus on the provision of compassionate, equitable, patient-centered family planning care and understanding the ways in which legislative and institutional policies shape care delivery. Outside of work, she enjoys partner dancing, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
