About Angela Wilson, M.D.
My decision to practice medicine began at a young age, shaped by the positive experience of my own pediatrician’s care. My interest in women’s health took root during the latter half of medical school, when I felt the excitement of assisting with a birth, the bond and understanding that develops between patient and physician, and a growing connection to the community of OB/GYNs.
As I have matured over the years in my own life, I have matured in my practice as well. I strive to know my patients as individuals and to provide care that is both patient-focused and evidence-based. I feel strongly about creating a safe, comfortable space for an exam that can often make people uneasy, so that every patient feels seen, respected, and cared for.
Dr. Angela Wilson is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn. She attended Bronx High School of Science before graduating from Cornell University with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1994, followed by her M.D. in 1998. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.
After residency, Dr. Wilson practiced obstetrics and gynecology in New York for ten years before transitioning her focus to ambulatory gynecology in 2012. She has since maintained a practice in Manhattan. In 2025, she became a Certified Menopause Practitioner through The Menopause Society.
Dr. Wilson’s clinical interests include well-woman care and medical management of gynecological disorders with specific clinical interests in management of abnormal Pap smears, contraception, and menopausal care.

Relationships and collaborations with for-profit and not-for profit organizations are of vital importance to our faculty because these exchanges of scientific information foster innovation. As experts in their fields, WCM physicians and scientists are sought after by many organizations to consult and educate. WCM and its faculty make this information available to the public, thus creating a transparent environment.
