About Barry Hartman, M.D.
After completing his fellowship training in medicine and infectious disease at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Dr. Hartman completed basic research training at Rockefeller University, where he studied the mechanism for methicillin-resistance Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). His current focus is clinical care and education, and his interests include antibiotics and antibiotic resistance, surgical infections, endocarditis and vascular infections. Dr. Hartman is the recipient of numerous teaching awards and received the Clinician of the Year Award from the Infectious Diseases Society of America in 2018. He is currently co-chair of the Enterprise Formulary and Therapeutics (F&T) Committee at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
