Biographical Info

Dr. Cooper specializes in the treatment and prevention of HIV at the Center for Special Studies. He received his M.D. from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington DC, where he also completed his residency training in Internal Medicine. He subsequently completed his fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center while also obtaining his master’s degree in Clinical & Translational Investigation.

In addition to his clinical and research interests in HIV treatment and prevention, Dr. Cooper serves as a teaching attending to Infectious Diseases fellows at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and is active in teaching medical students and residents at Weill Cornell Medical College.
