About Michael Lor, M.D.
Michael Lor, MD, is a board certified dermatologist at the Israel Englander Department of Dermatology at Weill Cornell Medicine. His expertise includes both general and complex medical dermatology.
Dr Michael Lor was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Emory University with a bachelor’s in chemistry and subsequently obtained his medical doctorate at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Following medical school, he completed a preliminary year in internal medicine at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital, where he received the Morton N. Swartz Humanism in Medicine Award. He then returned to Los Angeles for dermatology residency at UCLA. His passion for teaching and medical education was recognized by his institution’s medical students, who selected him for the Excellence in Teaching with Humanism Award.
Following completion of his training, Dr Michael Lor accepted a position at Weill Cornell Medical College as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology. Outside the office and hospital, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, reaching 10,000 steps in a day, collecting Swatch watches, and hosting Friday night dinner.
