Personal Statement

As a Nurse Practitioner in the Pediatric Hepatology Department at Weill Cornell Medical Center, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to children and their families. Working with children is not just my profession—it’s my passion. I believe that every child deserves not only exceptional medical care but also emotional support and advocacy throughout their health journey. I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to guide families through complex conditions with empathy, clear communication, and respect. It is a privilege to support children and their families during some of their most challenging moments, and I am honored to be part of their journey.

Biographical Info

Samuel Taylor-D’Ambrosio is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in the Division of Pediatric Hepatology.

Samuel began his nursing education at Georgetown University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), graduating Magna Cum Laude. During his time at Georgetown, he was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and completed a competitive thesis program, focusing his research on the efficacy of HIV-related education in undergraduate nursing programs. Following graduation, Samuel worked at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, where he cared for critically ill children for nine years.

Driven to expand his role in pediatric healthcare, Samuel earned his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Pediatric Primary Care from Stony Brook University, graduating with honors. He became board certified in Pediatric Primary Care through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB), equipping him with the skills to deliver holistic, family-centered care in both primary and specialty settings.
