About Caroline Ruocco, MS, CCC-SLP
Caroline Ruocco, M.S., CCC-SLP is a full-time speech-language pathologist in the Department of Otolaryngology. She holds a B.A. degree in Linguistics from Bucknell University and an M.S. degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is licensed in the states of New York, Washington, and California, holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She also holds her Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certificate in the state of New York.
Ms. Ruocco has many years of clinical experience in evaluating and providing treatment for pediatric patients with various diagnoses including hearing loss, auditory processing, receptive/expressive language delays, articulation disorders, social pragmatic differences, and more. She specializes in working with the pediatric hearing loss population, assessing and providing therapy for those with hearing loss who wear amplification (e.g., hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone conduction sound processors [BCSPs]) and are learning to communicate using primarily listening and spoken language. She also evaluates and treats adults with hearing loss at various stages in their hearing care journeys.
Ms. Ruocco’s 2024 ASHA Convention presentation titles, “Providing Aural Habilitation as a Person with Hearing Loss: One Clinician’s Experience” was designated as an ASHA Convention Visionary Session.
