Biographical Info

Dr. Mehrin Islam is an assistant professor of clinical emergency medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree in global health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. She completed her pediatric residency at University of Texas Southwestern/Children's Health and a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Islam’s clinical and research interests include global health, simulation, and wellness. She is fluent in Bangla and proficient in Spanish.
